I did a previous concept design of this piece here : [link]
Here we are, my last work! Sorry for delay, and I know, it was long time since the last one.. I'll try to put more of my stuff asap!
I worked a lot and it's now ready to be animated with some camera mapping and some particles animations to add some layers of fog, lightning effect and some other cool features, maybe even a 3d 1st plan made with the awesome software Vue!
Hope you like it, and thanks a lot for watching, and maybe even sharing!
===============================
Technical stuff :
Software used : Photoshop CS5, Vue, Maya. Time : About 50 hours. Full work is in 4k. If some are interested in it for some reasons, please note me. Please do not use or modify.
It is a masterpiece. We can clearly see that you spent a long time on the beautiful details, making the whole picture look and feel like a paradise. I love the buildings and their ancient look in contrast with the cloudy sky. The artwork has a depth, and you did your best working with the shadows to create a gorgeous 3D effect. When I first saw the image, I felt a connection to the well-known game of the Bethesda's Studios, Skyrim and a little bit to the Arcane Decks. The same mystique look that would make the viewer gaze at every little piece that forms the total.
This is an awesome landscape. We can see clearly here that this took you a large amount of time in making and checking every little detail. The clouds that surround the ruins are well done. The choice of colours is well suited to this landscape that features what it seems to be khmer looking ruins. The architecture of the ruined city is well-made, the rendition of little details makes it visually attractive. This art really gives that feeling of discovery, after having walked for weeks in deep forest. Whilst its subject is not quite that original, it is very well made and certainly gets to his goal of astonishing the viewer with lush, green forest and antic ruins from an ancient civilization.
