I like the duality represented in this work, similar to oriental Taoist philosophy, the good, the bad and the everything that contains these two forces, the man is looking at this phenomenon as deciding which way to go, but leans toward the light, with a sword in his hand and a flag in the other, suggesting to was fought a battle, good is always the hard choise, and he already was decided. All this is exalted for the architecture tipical oriental.
surprisingly balanced, great work.
The view you managed to draw is impressive. It hast greatness, depth and yet, life in it. I also enjoyed all the little details which capture the eye: like the architectural details, the lightning in the left or the sunset in the right and of course, the stance of the man.
Regarding the composition, I find balanced (not too dark or too light), with a wonderful color range. All colors go well with each other and the transition are smooth. Although you provided a lot of details (which would normally distract from the main subject of the drawing), in this case they are welcome.
The light transition from the right part to the left is done perfectly. The buildings have good shadows and are gradually more or less lighten.
As a whole, I find this piece wonderful and very well realized. Keep up!
